Life has a habit of running away with itself. There are times when the day seems to be nothing more than endless dashing from one thing to another, leaving us barely able to catch breath. We like to think we have things in control, but the reality is we are often just reacting to events, or lurching from one panic to another.
The wider world can feel like that too. The organisations we work for, the colleges we attend, the institutions we deal with, often seem to be poorly managed, driven to crises and never getting organised. Even governments themselves seem to operate this way. Voted into power to fulfil the people’s will, yet all they seem to do is wrestle with crisis situations. We only need to read the news to see that we live in a very uncertain world.
Despite the apparent chaos, God is in control. He created an ordered world and from the beginning He had a clear plan as to how things would turn out. He knew that to save the world His son Jesus would have to die. It was all in the plan. When Jesus returns to set up God’s kingdom, he will restore order, reigning over a world of peace and calm, where panic and crises are things of the past.
You too can rest assured knowing that God has it all in control. Start the journey now to read the Bible and find out more about the peace of mind that comes from knowing about God’s plan.
